One of the reasons for the campaign’s success is that so many alumnae and friends included Douglass and the AADC in their overall financial planning. In fact, 31% of major gifts to the campaign utilized gift planning. In doing so, they were able to identify creative ways to make a gift that also benefit their other financial goals—minimizing income, estate, or retirement taxes and/or retaining income from a contribution. We are grateful for this thoughtful planning and the level of commitment these supporters have shown in planning for the future needs of Douglass and her students.
We invite all of our alumnae and friends to wisely plan a gift that benefits both the Douglass and the AADC and their personal financial plans. Douglass Community, including you!
If you are planning to leave a legacy gift for Douglass in your will, the correct wording is to name "the Associate Alumnae of Douglass College for the Douglass Fund" as a beneficiary. Thank you!
